I hope I have not missed anyone out or spelled anyone`s name wrongly.
Some of you have asked me questions so here they are. If I can answer them!
Q. When did you start writing books ?
A. When I was 5.
Q. How many children`s books have you written ?
Nine. Quite a few are picture books for younger children which I wrote when my own children were young. I have also written a longer story for Christmas called THE GLASS ANGELS, for 7-11s.
Q. Do you get your ideas from other books ?
A. No they are my own ideas. But everything you read goes into making you the sort of person you are and teaches you about all sorts of things and these things sometimes come out in the books.
Q. When did you write Gullywith ?
A. In 2006 during the winter.
Q.Do all your books have the same characters ?
A. No. I have written 37 books, mainly for adults and some for children.
Q. Did you enjoy writing the story ?
A. Yes ! I loved writing it.
That`s all for now. I will answer some more of your questions later. Thank you HATTIE, ISAAC and REBIN for some great questions.
AND NEXT TO THE CHILDREN OF YEAR 5, GORSEMOOR PRIMARY SCHOOL, CANNOCK, STAFFORDSHIRE And to Mrs Amos who is reading the book to them. They are writing about Gullywith and drawing pictures of the WITHERNOSAURUS.
I am looking forward to seeing them.
Love from
Susan Hill

Well, a lot of you, judging by the e-mails I have been getting. And there are quite a few questions too. Here are some I`ve had
.
Can I go to Gullywith ? If so how do I get there ? From Joe, aged 9, from Kent.
Hello Joe. The only way you can go there is via your own imagination. But you can do that any time you want - and you can read the book again as well. I`ll do my best to put up some things about Gullywith here too. So it will feel almost as if you can go there !
Is Nonny Dreever a baddy ? Helena, from London
Oh no, he certainly is not. I do hope that isn`t how he seems to you.
Pleeeze will you say what KK`s real name is ? Mark from Northampton. Aged 10
Nope. Sorry. She won`t tell me you see.
Did Withernosauruses really exist, like Tricerotops and the others ? Freddie. Aged 9 from Bath.
I think they did. A lot of people think so too. But we have no actual evidence of that. You could ask the dinosaur experts in the Natural History Museum though.
I have had a great e-mail from a friend who tells me she is reading the book aloud to some Year 5 chidren at Gorsemoor Primary School. They are enjoying it and are going to enter the competition and send in some of their stories and pictures. Great news and I really look forward to seeing them, Gorsemoor School Children.

A great map of Gullywith.
A chat with the man who runs the Bookshop at Fiddleup.
